چکیده

The positioning service aided by low Earth orbit (LEO) mega-constellations has become a hot topic in recent years. To achieve precise positioning, accuracy of the LEO clocks is important for single-receiver users. bridge gap between applicable time clock products and need to be predicted over certain period depending on sampling interval products. This study discusses prediction errors periods from 10 s 1 h two typical types, i.e. ultra-stable oscillator (USO) oven-controlled crystal (OCXO). based GNSS-determined estimates, where stability related GNSS estimation errors, behaviors oscillators themselves, systematic effects environment relativistic effects, reference. Based real data analysis, different types are simulated under conditions, model considering proposed. Compared simple polynomial fitting usually applied, proposed can significantly reduce about 40%-70% simulations 5%-30% containing miss-modeled effects. For both short-term min would result root mean square error (RMSE) few centimeters when using very stable RMSE amounts 0.1 m, real-time reference national center space studies (CNES) was used. long-term h, could range below m meters USOs, complexity OCXOs, lead larger with an m.

Instant Active Positioning with One LEO Satellite

Autonomous position determination in the Globalstar satellite communication system is discussed. ( ) The two-way communication between a user terminal on the earth’s surface and a single low earth orbit LEO satellite makes it possible to derive range and range-rate and determine the user terminal position instantly. Expected accuracy is presented, and a simple direct solution is given. INTRODUC...

Performance Analysis of LEO Satellite Networks

We present an analytical model for computing call blocking probabilities in a LEO satellite network that carries voice calls. Both satellite-fixed and earth-fixed constellations with inter-orbit links and hand-offs are considered. The model is analyzed approximately by decomposing it into sub-systems. Each sub-system is solved in isolation exactly using a Markov process, and the individual resu...

Improved Short-Term Clock Prediction Method for Real-Time Positioning

The application of real-time precise point positioning (PPP) requires real-time precise orbit and clock products that should be predicted within a short time to compensate for the communication delay or data gap. Unlike orbit correction, clock correction is difficult to model and predict. The widely used linear model hardly fits long periodic trends with a small data set and exhibits significan...

Performance Analysis of MAC Protocol for LEO Satellite Networks

Considering that weak channel collision detection ability, long propagation delay and heavy load in LEO satellite communications, a valid adaptive APRMA MAC protocol was proposed. Different access probability functions for different services were obtained and appropriate access probabilities for voice and data users were updated slot by slot based on the estimation of the voice traffic and the ...

Orbital Perturbation Effect on LEO Satellite Trajectory

A satellite, in its orbit, is affected by perturbing forces, such as atmospheric drag, solar radiation pressure, Earth oblateness, and gravity of the celestial masses (other than the Earth). In this paper, the effects of these forces on the trajectories of different types of LEO satellites and a sample satellite (Z-SAT) are discussed. A few analyses are done on these orbits and the relevant res...
